T-Street Beach in San Clemente

620 Avenida del Mar, San Clemente, CA 92672

T-Street Beach is a popular surf and recreation spot located just south of the San Clemente Pier. Known for its consistent waves, it attracts surfers and bodyboarders of all levels, especially when conditions are right with mid to high tides. The beach gets its name from the "T" intersection of Esplanade and Paseo De Cristobal, where a pedestrian bridge safely crosses over the train tracks to the sand.

The beach has a laid-back, local vibe and is often considered the heart of San Clemente’s beach scene. It features clean facilities, including restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic tables, and seasonal concession stands. Lifeguards are typically on duty during peak times, and there are designated swimming and surfing areas with restrictions during summer afternoons to keep everyone safe.

T-Street also connects directly to the San Clemente Beach Trail, making it ideal for walking, biking, and running along the coast. Parking is available via metered spots along the bluff and on surrounding residential streets.

The beach is well-maintained, with ongoing city efforts to manage erosion and replenish sand. It's a favorite for locals and visitors alike—whether you're surfing, sunbathing, or catching a scenic sunset.
