Track Construction and Maintenance
San Bernardino Line: Covina Station
From March 2017 to May 2018, Metrolink is implementing pedestrian safety upgrades adjacent to the Covina Metrolink Station. This project will result in the continuous closure of one lane in each direction on Citrus Ave for approximately 2 ½ months. Later in the project, there will also be a night-time closure on Citrus Ave for up to 5 nights.
Northbound pedestrian access along the east side of Citrus Ave will be maintained at all times. However, when construction impacts the crosswalk at Citrus Ave and the entrance to the Metrolink Station, pedestrians will use the crosswalk at Front St and Citrus Ave.
This project will improve safety by making it more difficult for pedestrians to enter a crossing when a train is approaching.
